Kayode Fashola Life and Death

Kayode Fashola (born 13 March 1942), is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and a guitarist in the West African musical style jùjú.

Kayode Fashola was born in Ijebu igbo to a family of 5. His father was a chief warrior, while his mother was a trader.
Kayode Fashola shew love for music right from his childhood years,  involving in village music festivals and friendly musical games. His musical sound evolved from the early days. His career began with Moses Olaiya's Federal Rhythm Dandies, a highlife band. He formed the band The Music Makers in the year 1969, with a sibling, friends and partners namely Ayoniyi Makinde,  Bayo Ogunlade,  Saheed Olokiri, Olawuwo, Adebiyi Olore, Tunde Anjonrin, Witness Bakare, And More.

Kayode songs were influenced by Traditional and Cultural songs, Juju pioneer and the Bible.

He was received nationally going on tours in Africa and and a few in US and Europe. He was nicknamed 'The Prayerful Singer'. He was at risk of sounding too monotonous but was still loved for his peaceful, prayerful, wise,  informative, natural,  and traditionally styled lyrics.
He died in 8th day of July, 1983, from drink poisoning in his recording studio. His friend Witness Bakare was accused of his murder but was later released.
